Hi, I'm Taliah! I work with adults who feel stuck in difficult patterns, often facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or life transitions. My approach views mental health as a spectrum, with imbalance stemming from life’s challenges rather than simply defining them with diagnosis. I encourage clients to become curious about the developmental, emotional, spiritual, or physical wounds that need attention, offering a safe and supportive space for exploration.
In therapy, I aim to nurture your natural resilience and empower your personal growth. I offer Art Therapy to help you creatively identify and achieve your goals, integrating evidence-based treatments such as CBT, DBT, ACT, ERP, and Solution-Focused Therapy to align with your values.
We all experience emotional pain at times, but supportive relationships can help us heal. If you're looking for a therapist with a warm, accepting presence to help you achieve balance and wellness, please reach out. Together, we can work towards a healthier life.
Professional Background:
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Washington in 2012, where an assignment exploring the sensory systems’ role in art first sparked my passion for Art Therapy. My interests in travel and culture deepened during a healthcare seminar in Chile, allowing me to connect psychology with diverse cultural perspectives. My academic focus included human development, cultural psychology, and public health.
In 2019, I completed a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Transpersonal Contemplative Art Therapy at Naropa University. This program wove together mindfulness, studio art-making, and social justice, blending traditional academics with intuitive wisdom.
During my internship, I worked with neurodiverse and at-risk youth in both private and community mental health settings. After graduation, I provided care in various environments, including inpatient and outpatient settings, for individuals facing severe mental illness.
Since 2022, I have been in private practice, committed to continuing education in art therapy and trauma-informed care. I enjoy offering virtual counseling to increase accessibility for clients with challenging schedules or anxiety about in-person sessions.
